Pan | Place one finger on the screen and drag it in the appropriate direction. You can also throw the view by flicking the screen quickly. |
Zoom in |
Place two fingers on the screen simultaneously and move them apart OR double tap the screen. |
Zoom out | Place two fingers on the screen simultaneously and move them together (pinch) OR double tap the screen with two fingers simultaneously. |
Rotate | Place two fingers on the screen and turn in the appropriate direction. |
Look around | Place two fingers together on the screen simultaneously and move them in any direction. |
Tilt |
Place two fingers together on the screen simultaneously and move them down. You can also tilt automatically by physically tilting your iPhone. |
Reset to north-up view | ![]() The compass shows your current heading. |
Go to your location | ![]() Google Earth follows your location until you navigate or touch the location icon again. |
Search |
![]() If your search returns multiple results, touch the appropriate result to fly to this location. |
Clear search results |
![]() Touch Clear History. |
You can display interesting geographic content within your viewing area. This includes points of interest (POIs) as well as borders and terrain.
Display content |
![]() Under Show, beside the desired type of content, slide the setting to On or touch the content name to display more options. When you are finished, touch Done. |
Once you have enabled this content, some content displays as icons in the main view. Touch any icon to display more information.
